Who We Are

Run by teens.
Backed by the County.

The Epicentre Teen Council is a group of Mira Mesa teens who design and lead their own programming inside San Diego County's newest community facility. We pitch the ideas, teach the sessions, and run the meetings — with County support behind us, not in front of us.

Every program on this site was built from scratch by a Council member, presented to the Steering Committee, and approved to run at the Epicentre. This isn't a teen advisory board that gets consulted. This is a teen-run program.

01 LIVE ACTION
LARP & Creative Acting
Step into a character and build a world with your crew. Theatre, improv, and LARP in one immersive season — ends with a live performance for the community.

02 SKILLS
First Aid Basics
Real skills, hands-on. CPR, wound care, and emergency response taught by a certified instructor — because knowing what to do matters.

03 FUTURE
Career Building
Half guest speaker, half you. Hear from working professionals, then build your own resume, interview skills, and next steps.

04 SOUND
Music
A real room to make real music. Structured sessions for producers and performers, plus open studio time to just show up and play.

05 KITCHEN
Cooking
From knife skills to a finished plate. No experience needed — just an appetite to learn, and eat what you make.

06 MONEY
Finances
Taxes, credit, saving, investing — the stuff school skips. Two levels take you from your first paycheck to planning ahead.

Meetings alternate weekly — Wednesdays 4–5 PM one week, Thursdays 6–7 PM the next. Open to Mira Mesa teens, no application needed. Just show up.
